Glenda Chambers called the meeting to order at 11:05am.

April Face-go-Face Meeting
The meeting is scheduled for April 12th at 11:00am in Yakima. The address is 3701 Gun Club Rd, Yakima, WA 98901.

New Business:
Region Awards
Qwest Pioneers received five awards at the annual meeting. WA Chapter was included in the award for the Beep Easter Egg Hunts held across Qwest territory.
WA chapter received three region awards. They are Project Excellence Awards for Overseas Coupons, Beep Easter Egg Hunt, and Rest Areas.
National Volunteer Week
National Volunteer week is April 27th thru May 3rd. The Chapter and the individual Pioneer member that signs up the most new members will receive a $50 gift card. All individuals that join during the week will be entered in a random drawing. One winner from each Chapter will receive a $50 gift card. All drawings completed by May 9th.
Northwest Harvest
Glenda Chamber and Ruth Kalies toured the new Northwest Harvest warehouse located in Kent, WA. They would like to schedule a work project at the warehouse in the near future. The work would be breaking down and repackaging donated food items. Jennifer Moore volunteered to coordinate a work event.
Annual Meeting
A full report from the Annual Meeting will be given at the April Face-to-Face meeting. The 2009 Annual Meeting will be on the third Friday in February 2009 (2/20/09). We will try to schedule the 2009 Crab Feed at Ocean Shores for 3/7/09.
Round Table
Glenda Chambers - Kathleen Steele is retiring from Qwest with 31 years of service. Her party will be on Friday, March 28th in Bell Plaza.
Capitol CC - Collecting stamps. Mary Wolbert is doing well. Meetings are on the 3rd Wednesday of each month at 11:30 at Panorama City. Contact Nancy Bucknell for information.
Cascadian LMC - The February luncheon speaker was Christene McGowan, District Director for the FCC. Her presentation was regarding the transition from analog to digital television scheduled for early 2009. February Overseas Coupon counts were Food = 1,437 coupons valued at $1,224.67; non-food = 2,157 valued at $2,996.51. Two Caps for Chemo were made and delivered to Group Health Oncology. Eighty-seven Hug-a-Bears were completed. For further information, contact John Martin.
Cowlitz CC - Next meeting on March 25th at 1pm at Parkers. The 2009 Crab Feed is scheduled for January 31st. The Life Member luncheon will be held in May and Rest Stop fund raisers are scheduled for May and June. Contact Corinne Mugaas for information.
Green River CC - Hug-A-Bears were delivered to Valley Medical Center. Have collected lots of coupons and are looking for a chairperson for the club. Preparing Readers For Life books for distribution to Kent schools. The big Beep Easter Egg Hunt is scheduled for March 22nd. Maxine Dahl is retiring as club secretary. Lilac City CC - Meeting is the third Thursday each month. Next meeting and luncheon scheduled for March 20th. Getting good attendance at luncheons. The April speaker will be Rebecca Nappi from the Spokesman Review newspaper. The May speaker will be the head of the Department of Corrections. Volunteering at the annual Gonzaga Music Festival and Bloomsday in May. Contact Patty Boyce or Nancy Uht for information.
Puget Sound LMC - Put labels into 791 Readers For Life books. Collected postage stamps, pop can tabs, education box tops and labels and turned in 24,000 Overseas coupons. March luncheon is March 12th at the Des Moines Creek restaurant. Contact Ruth Kalies for information.
Seattle Council - Selling See's Easter candy and have made a profit of $150 so far. Have Milk Chocolate Foil Rabbits, Dark Chocolate Butter Eggs, Peanut Butter Eggs, and Bordeaux Eggs available for $5 each. The move out of Bell Plaza for some of Seattle Council is now set for fourth quarter 2008. Voted to transfer $300 to Capitol Combined Club for flood relief in southwest Washington. Collecting soup labels, pop tabs, coupons, cell phones, stamps. Contact Jennifer Moore for information.
Walla Walla CC - Had Valentine's Day luncheon with a speaker from the local Little League. Have been helping the Little League. Having a food drive for the Salvation Army. Contact June Anderson for information.
Yakima Council - Next meeting scheduled for 3/19. Delivered Readers For Life books to the Adams School. Working with VFW to box up donations for Operation Thank-you to the troops. Contact Anita Larin for information.
