The Green River Valley Combined Club of Qwest Pioneers is Committed to providing rewarding community service experiences and fellowship opportunities for all of our employees, retirees, families, partner organizations, and others involved in our sponsored activities and supported events. As volunteers, we strive to meet a variety of community needs with a special emphasis on education.
Volunteers Needed
Our Club is comprised of current and former Qwest Communications employees as well as retired Qwest, former US West employees and Retirees of the former Bell System. We serve the Green River Valley area of South King County including the greater Renton, Kent and Auburn Washington areas. Our office is with the Washington State Chapter 30 office in downtown Seattle. The address is 1600 7th Ave., Room 2211, Seattle WA 98191.
You are are invited to attend our monthly luncheons at the Old Country Buffet in the Kent Hill Plaza, 25630 104th Ave SE Kent, WA 98031. We meet in the Banquet room at the south end of the restaurant. The luncheons are always on the first Thursday of the month (unless it interferes with a Holladay). The Restaurant opens at 11:00 am. We have a short informative meeting at about noon and often have guest speakers. The luncheons are fun and you get to visit with old friends and co-workers.
If you have some "free" time we have volunteer projects ready for you to enjoy. We can always use additional help to fill our commitment to the local community. So please consider this an open invitation to be a part of the Green River Valley Combined Club of Qwest Pioneers and call me for more information.
