FROM THE CHAPTER PRESIDENT
The Qwest Pioneers encourage the support of education in our local communitiesas well as other avenues of communtiy service. One of the best aspects of Pioneering
is that you can volunteer in area's you are passionate about. Libraries, hospitals, schools,
crisis hotlines, the American Red Cross, museums, parks -- the list goes on. You are
only limited by your own interests. If you are not the "volunteer type", don't have time or are
committed to other organizations we understand. You can still help us in two different
ways. First, join...your membership dues ($15.00 per year, just 58 cents a paycheck)
helps us pay for the projects we sponsor. Secondly, support our projects...be it a raffle,
baked potato bar or a book sale, it all helps support our projects.
Idaho has three clubs. The Eagle Rock Combined Club in Idaho Falls-Ryan Hansen-President, The Snake River Combined Club in Pocatello-Eugene Doyal-President and the
Treasure Valley Combined Club for Boise and Twin Falls-Pat Eddins-President.
We also have a family camping group, the Sawtooth Ramblers with Co-Wagonmasters
Marilyn & Ken Whitney. Our clubs sponsor projects like roadside cleanup, the American
Red Cross Disaster Action Team, local food banks and other worthwhile endeavors that
interest our members.
To join our group of dedicated volunteers you can visit the local clubs page using the ink located at the left and contact the club president or you can call the Pioneer Office in
Boise at 208 385-2679 or 800 592-9483.
