Haiti Relief
Chapter President Sandy Cramer acted quickly when hearing that Qwest employees in Washington had a plan to fundraise for the victims where the funds would go to World Vision, a non-profit organization headquartered in Washington state. With Haiti being the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere and World Vision doing humanitarian work in Haiti for 30 years - it seemed to Sandy like a good organization for the Pioneers to donate to. That evening Sandy contacted the Presidents of the Chapters and Clubs in Washington and received a resounding YES. The forms were processed by Treasurer Linda Copeland the next day and the $500 donation was announced shortly after at the LET'S HELP HAITI meeting in Bell Plaza. It was met with cheers by the entire ad hoc group. Whenever there's an urgent need, you'll always find the Pioneers in
Washington right there to help.

Pioneers Jennifer Moore, Chapter Vice-President and Marian Wilcox, Chapter Secretary, put in their own donations before they ask their fellow Pioneers to contribute. How can you say no? If you would like to contribute please contact your local Council President or Sandy.
